CASTLEGAR & THE WEST KOOTENAY
General contracting
Send your project location, what you want to build or change, any drawings, and your preferred timing. Tell us whether you need help with the full project or a defined stage of the work.
Planning a workable scope
A useful starting point is a conversation about the property, the space you need and the decisions you have already made. We can assist with residential drafting and layouts and help work through permitting requirements. Before construction, the scope needs to identify the work involved, the available drawings and any details that still need confirmation.
Coordinating the construction stages
Foundation work, framing and finishing depend on one another. General contracting means considering that sequence alongside materials, access and the other trades involved. We discuss responsibilities and the work included in your project so that the next stage can be planned around what comes before it.
New homes and renovations
For new home construction, the conversation begins with the site and the plans. For home renovations, it also includes the existing building and how you use the space. Conditions uncovered during a renovation may affect the scope; those findings need to be discussed before the affected work proceeds.
From foundations to a finished home
Our residential work includes foundations, concrete forming and finishing, and framing. Exterior work includes siding and exterior finishing. Inside, flooring, trim, doors, cabinet installation and finish carpentry bring the rooms together. We agree which stages are part of your project rather than assuming every job needs the same scope.
Decisions, changes and handover
Material choices, access, drawings and changes to the work can affect an estimate and the construction sequence. Send the information you already have so we can identify what else is needed. As the agreed work moves toward completion, we work through finishing items and discuss the handover with you.
Working in the West Kootenay
We are based in Castlegar, British Columbia, and serve nearby communities including Nelson, Trail, Fruitvale and Salmo. Include your location when you contact us so the discussion can account for the property and access to the site.
